nurse educators

The role of nurse educators is potentially limitless. Most nurse educators associate themselves with schools of nursing by beginning as clinical or online instructors. The potential is there to be much more pubishing research, writing for CEUs, or providing educational services as consultants. There are a number of boards of nursing and state boards of health that also employ masters prepared nurse educators.
My interest is in writing for CEUs, particularly for state approval not frequently available online. I am in the process of putting together a CEU course addressing the impact Florence Nightengale had on the practice of nursing. I have incorporated some little known information that is not ordinarily included in most nursing programs.
How do you see the future of nurse educators affecting the future of nursing?
